Bowls New Zealand is proud to announce the team selected to represent New Zealand at the 2026 Oceania Challenge, to be held in November.
The Oceania Challenge provides an important opportunity for the country's emerging stars to gain valuable international experience and continue their development along Bowls New Zealand's elite pathway. The event brings together some of the best talent from across the Oceania region and serves as a key stepping stone for future representative honours. Following a comprehensive selection process, the National Selectors have named an exciting blend of proven performers and rising talent to wear the silver fern.

The team will be guided by two of New Zealand's most experienced former representatives, with multiple world champions Val Smith and Gary Lawson leading the women's and men's teams respectively.
Convenor of Selectors Mike Kernaghan congratulated all selected players and acknowledged the strength of the performances shown throughout the season.
"The depth of talent coming through our Under 26 ranks continues to grow, creating strong competition for places and highlighting the bright future of our sport. The selected athletes have demonstrated the commitment, skill and potential required to represent New Zealand with pride, and we look forward to supporting their continued development on the international stage."
New Zealand Under 26 Manager Julie Blake said the campaign will provide invaluable experience both on and off the green.
"Representing New Zealand is a significant achievement and an opportunity these players have earned through their performances and dedication. The Oceania Challenge will expose them to international competition, help further their development, and create memories that will stay with them throughout their bowls careers."
Preparations for the campaign will begin in the coming weeks as the team looks ahead to testing itself against the best bowlers from across the Oceania region.
Bowls New Zealand congratulates all selected players and wishes them every success as they prepare to represent their country at the 2026 Oceania Challenge.
