The Pacific is coming to Auckland this November as the Oceania Challenge 2026 brings together teams from across the region for four days of international competition at Bowls Ōrewa from 19-22 November 2026.
This year's event will feature teams from Aotearoa Māori, Australia Development, Cook Islands, Fiji, New Zealand Under 26, Niue, Norfolk Island, Samoa, Tokelau, and Tonga, creating a fantastic opportunity to see some of Oceania's best bowlers in action.
We have seen that the Oceania Challenge is a proving ground from which young World champions like Tonga's Milika Nathan and Shae Wilson from Norfolk Island have emerged, and I am excited that we will again see some of the best talent in the world on show.

"With rising stars, experienced internationals, and development teams all taking to the greens, the tournament provides valuable international experience for emerging players while giving participating nations the chance to showcase their talent on the regional stage.
The Oceania Challenge provides an important opportunity to bring the Bowls nations and cultures of the Pacific together for high level competition, particularly in the years when our sport is not included in Pacific Games or Mini-games because of facilities constraints. The Auckland Tamaki Makaurau location also connects many of these cultures with their diaspora which creates a very Pacific vibe at the event itself." Brett O'Riley World Bowls President
Hosted at the picturesque Bowls Ōrewa, the event promises four days of exciting bowls, friendly rivalry and memorable moments as teams compete for Oceania Challenge honours.
"What a superb occasion to showcase such a diverse range of cultures with the emphasis on the stars of the future. We are absolutely looking forward to welcoming and hosting the players, support staff, and spectators to this prestigious event," said Kerry Greenhalgh Bowls Ōrewa President.
