Gonville Castlecliff Bowling Club

The Gonville-Castlecliff Bowling Club is the second-oldest bowling club in Whanganui, but has the oldest greens still in use today. We have two natural Maniatoto greens, being 36.6m square, and 35m square.

Our large clubhouse has a licenced bar and easily accommodates big gatherings for bowls tournaments and the club's social events.

We have a proud history of providing a good balance of bowling achievement, fellowship, and community involvement. We care for our existing members, and welcome new members, both competitive and social bowlers alike.

Our social bowlers enjoy club roll-ups on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons during the bowling season, and in the Winter we come indoors to play "Short-Mat".  

Bowlers with a more competitive mindset are also welcome, with many members entering in championship, open, and gala events at our own and other clubs nearly every week of the season.
