Welcome to Northcote Bowling Club!
The Northcote Bowling Club is now the oldest Club in the Bowls North Harbour area having been established in 1899. It has been on its present freehold site since 1913. Following severe flooding two years ago it has since vastly improved its grass greens sowing the main green is more resilient starweed and resowing the small green in maniatoto. The greens opened for the season on 6 September this year and the club members are looking forward to a strong 2026 / 2027 season. The club also hosts a strong affiliated petanque club, regular club nights for the "New Orleans Joy Makers" Jazz club and hosts a hockey club for its social events . The Club also runs winter indoor bowls.
Playing opportunities (social, competitive, twilight, coaching, etc.)
Regular rollups are held from 1pm every Tuesday and Thursday and subject to demand and greens availability Saturday and Sunday.
OAC Triples 2nd Wednesday of every month (entries to club).
The club runs a Full Championship and Club Tournament programme. (see calendar under 'programmes' on the Website or the Northcote Bowling Club App)
Training is available by arrangement with the club coach Greg Taylor and the greens are available for practice.
A social / twilight programme is being developed. Starting in October, there will be Sunday bowls from 3pm followed by a BBQ. New and members and causal partcipants welcome. (Small fee may apply)

There are two grass greens, the larger 8 rink green is a starweed green and the smaller 4 rinks green has recently be resown with maniatoto.
The club has a large outdoor deck and BBQ area, excellent club house, bar and kitchen facilities. It hosts corporate bowls events and many social functions and community events.
