Royal Oak Bowls was formed in 2017 through the merger of the historic Onehunga Bowling Club and Hillsborough Bowling Club, bringing together two proud bowling traditions to create one vibrant and welcoming community club.

Today, Royal Oak Bowls is much more than just a bowling club. We are a community hub where people come together to enjoy sport, friendship, entertainment, and social connection. Whether you're an experienced bowler, completely new to the game, or simply looking for a great local venue to relax and meet people, you'll find a warm welcome at Royal Oak Bowls.

Venue Features

Our facilities include a covered indoor green, outdoor bowling green, licensed bar, sports lounge, and function spaces. Throughout the year we host a wide range of activities including social and competitive bowls, coaching programmes, community events, quiz and housie nights, live entertainment, corporate functions, and social gatherings.
