Raumati Bowling Club's success over the past year has been built on a clear vision: to be a welcoming club with excellent facilities, a strong culture, and members who represent the club with pride both on and off the green.
That commitment has helped establish Raumati as one of New Zealand's leading bowling clubs and a worthy recipient of the 2026 Bowls New Zealand Club of the Year Award.

Located on the Kapiti Coast, Raumati has earned a reputation as a friendly and inclusive club that attracts bowlers of all ages and experience levels.
New members continue to join because of the club's welcoming environment, while existing members enjoy facilities that rank among the best in the region.
The installation of a second TigerTurf artificial green has ensured year-round play and provided the club's 220 members with quality playing surfaces throughout every season.
The 2025-26 season was the most successful in the club's history. Leading the way was Lisa White, who enjoyed a remarkable season that included victory in the National Champion of Champions Singles, the inaugural Shortform Bowls title, and the prestigious Molecheck Auckland Singles.
The club also reached several significant milestones in team competition. For the first time, Raumati qualified for the National Interclub Finals in both the men's and women's competitions, highlighting the depth of talent throughout the club.
Three Raumati teams also secured Kapiti Champion of Champions titles to earn places at national finals, while club members claimed seven Centre titles and contributed to three more title-winning composite teams.
Representative success further reflected the club's strength, with 19 Raumati members selected for Kapiti Coast representative teams during the award period. Just as importantly, participation at the development end of the sport continues to grow, with the club now boasting 57 Year 1-8 players, including 29 junior bowlers. This growth demonstrates a healthy pathway for future success and a commitment to nurturing the next generation of players.
Raumati's contribution extends beyond competition results. The club is home to five accredited umpires who regularly support Centre and national events, while members continue to play important leadership roles within Bowls Kapiti Coast. The development of a new club coach during the year also reflects the club's investment in building capability and supporting members at every level.
While achievements on the green have been substantial, it is the combination of performance, participation, leadership, and community spirit that makes Raumati stand out. The club continues to provide an environment where people can compete, learn, volunteer, and enjoy the sport together.
